This community service program aimed to enhance the competence of Indonesian language teachers in writing popular scientific articles through a project-based training approach integrated with digital literacy. The program was conducted within the Indonesian Language Subject Teacher Forum (MGMP) at the senior high school level in Tasikmalaya City and was attended by 20 teachers. The training was designed in response to teachers' need to foster a culture of popular scientific writing, particularly in the form of reflective and educational articles suitable for mass media or popular journals. The training method included participatory learning, digital resource exploration, analysis of sample articles, group discussions, and hands-on writing practice. During the training, participants utilized various digital tools such as collaborative writing platforms and online reference sources to support the development of their articles. The final output of the program was a draft of a popular scientific article produced by each participant. The training outcomes indicated a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of popular scientific article structure, use of communicative language, and confidence in writing and publishing their work. Evaluation of program effectiveness through pre-test and post-test showed an increase in the average score from 56 to 84, representing a 50% improvement. The project-based approach, enriched with digital literacy components, proved effective in fostering productivity and active engagement throughout the training process. This initiative has the potential for broader impact if implemented continuously through the formal establishment of teacher writing communities as a sustainable strategy for strengthening both academic and digital literacy.
